• You have one week to create a PowerPoint presentation based on an organism in an ecosystem.
  • Pick a species and an ecosystem (for example: a panther in a Brazilian rain forest or tarantula in a desert)
  • You have one week to create a presentation on your species
  • Your presentation will be at least 11 slides following the template given in class:
  • Next week we will each present our PowerPoints to the rest of the class. You must give a short explanation of your work (at least 10 minutes in length) .

• The PowerPoint will identify the following about the species you pick:
• In 10 slides, you will list
• the organism's classifications (put in order: common name, genus-species, family, order, class, phylum, kingdom)
• organisms habitat, geographical location, biome, type of climate
• three examples of adaptations to fit into it's environment
• one example of an adaptation that can be traced down through evolution
• an example of a food chain for your organism
• an example of a food web (including at least 10 organisms that are in the ecosystem)
• answer 5 key questions on the organisms population
• talk about the community that your organisms is a member of , and the relationships it has with other memebers of it's community
• identify the niche that your organism plays in the ecosystem
• talk about what role your organisms has in keeping it's ecosystem in balance
